Insights can be found wherever we are capable of reflection and empathy. If you are open to this process, “fruits of insight”- or, as I call them, “cognitionfruits” – can grow within you.

The oil painting “The Digitization of the World” was created in 1996. It depicts a man pulling 0s and 1s—the binary code that computers use—out of his own head. Back in 1996, there were no mobile phones, hardly any websites, and I had to connect to the internet using a 33.6 kbit/s modem. Thirty years later, the painting is more relevant than ever! How could I have guessed that digitalization would evolve to such an extreme degree?

My more than 670 paintings serve as a visible expression of my creative work and my way of thinking. I am not an art historian, but I would classify these individual pieces into the following “categories” you can see in my artroom.
Film
As a filmmaker I produced about 20 art- and shortfilms like “cognitionsfruits” that was released at the Museums Quarter in Vienna in 2004. The main topic of cognitionfruits is: “Where does an idea come from and what to do with it?”
Mephistopheles – the light of a tragedy

This recently completed play, on which I have worked for 25 years, is a poem about Mephisto, who seeks to free himself from darkness and ignorance. It is written in rhymed verse and in German.
Vienna Academy of Philosophizing

“Where do we come from? What is life? What does time mean? “
Philosophizing is something very special. It is a cultural technique that unfortunately hardly exists in the school system or in society. That is why I founded the the “Academy of Philosophizing with children, youngsters and adults” in Vienna in 2010 – to establish and spread the practice of philosophizing in Austria.
